Huwasan TR50 Bio Film Treatment
Biofilms are the thin slimy layers that deposit and build up on the inside of pipes and on surfaces in contact with water and other liquids. They form when micro-organisms settle on the surface and secrete a glue-like substance that attaches them to the surface. This protects the bacteria from external influences and provides the conditions for it to grow and divide. This process allows the bacteria to remain in the pipe and live off the nutrients in the water, and not be swept away in the water flow.
Once protected by the deposit, biofilm is able to resist disinfectants like chlorine which cannot penetrate the protective layer.
Huwa-San has outstanding penetration properties. It overcomes the protective barrier of the biofilm and the resulting oxygen bubbles burst and detach the slime structures to allow the biocidal action to take place.
- • Breaks down biofilm in pipes
- • Out-performs chlorine and other biocides
- • Destroys bacteria, viruses, algae and mould
- • Is harmless to the environment
